Is the procedure safe?
The Vital Derm™ is a non-invasive procedure that is designed to exfoliate the skin by dissolving cross-links in the skin, encouraging a rapid turnover and elimination of debris. The skin is prep with a crystal free wand to initiates cellular turnover at the dermis and epidermis levels in a safe controlled manner followed with highly effective infused enzyme, medically effective solution that will dissolve away the build-up of keratin cells and repair damaged skin tissue. This approach respects the integrity of the skin and promotes even healing. Maintaining even cellular growth on the surface aids in the youthfulness of the skin’s appearance.

The risks, side effects and complications seen with Laser Skin Resurfacing are avoided with this technique. How long will it take to see results?
While you may see visible results after the first treatment, maximum results are obtained by participating in a series of treatments plus following the recommended home care regimen. To further enhanced your outcome. It is recommended that you use the prescribed products specifically directed toward obtaining correction. Your current daily regimen and skin care products used will be reviewed, and you will be instructed which products you should continue to use, and will be advised on any recommended additions to your regimen. Keeping regular appointments and carefully following your home care regimen to support your results.
Is satisfaction guaranteed?
Vi'TalDerm MD clients receive satisfactory to above average results with a series of treatments. Maximum results are highly dependent on your age, cumulative sun exposure, health, lifestyle and your willingness to follow recommended protocols.
How often is Vital Derm performed?
Typically the procedure is performed at 3-4 week intervals. The actual number of procedures may vary from 4 – 6 treatments, depending on the nature of the individual’s client’s area(s) of concern, his/her personal goals and the response to treatment. To provide continuous long-lasting improvement, it is recommended to have a maintenance treatment every 8 to 12 week intervals.
Will I miss work or need to stay indoors?

Pre Care Instructions

  • Avoid using any alpha hydroxyl acid produce (such as glycolic or lactic acid) or salicylic acid product for twelve hours.
  • Do not apply Retin-A or other topical acne medications (Tazorac, Renova, or Differin) for one week before and two weeks after your treatment.
  • Women: Avoid waxing, laser treatments or other methods of hair removal including creams two weeks.
  • Men: Do not shave 48 hours prior to your VitalDerm treatment
  • Do not engage in any tanning 14 days before your treatment

Post Care Instructions

  • DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE FOR 6 – 8 hours, after 6 – 8 hours you may begin to use your post treatment kit. Use a soft non-invasive face towel and pat dry lightly: Do not rub or pick your skin: forcefully picking or rubbing off the dead surface skin can cause damaged.
  • It is important that you use the Post Treatment Kit: This medicated post procedure kit is specifically designed for post-treatment and post-operative conditions to accelerate and enhance the healing phase - highly formulated to repair skin.

Things You May Experience Afterwards

Day 1 - 10
  • The skin may experience tightness and may appear shiny. 
  • The skin may experience a reddish brown color due to pigment lifting.
  • The skin may experience a reddish brown color due to pigment lifting.
  • The skin is in the peeling stage ( light to deep peeling may occur ).
  • The skin is in the healing phrase.

Avoid extreme temperature. When taking a shower avoid hot water or cold water, avoid sauna, steam room for 24 to 48 hours, as this area will be sensitive: Recommendation (bath and avoid treatment area for at least 24 hours) no liquid or crème foundation base for 72 hours. Loose mineral powder may be applied after 24 – 48 hours.
Participation in your skin care treatments will determine your outcome.
It is important that you strictly adhere to your Post Treatment Kit that your Practitioner has recommended. No guarantee is expressed or implied as to the precise results, peeling times or discomfort. You may experience prolonged redness, irritation ,scabbing, flakiness, dryness and itching of the skin, sensitivity It is very important that you do not pick, scratch or peel. The day of your treatment your skin may appear sunburned and may continue to get redder as the day continues and you may experience tightness. For most clients flaking begins within 48 hours. It is impossible to pre-determine how much peeling will occur. The shedding process usually subsides within 5-7 days. Failure to follow these post care instructions may result in prolonged healing or other complications.
