Healthy Skin Structure
The needles are used to introduce controlled wounds to the skin’s surface breaking down old scar tissue while stimulating skin cells to proliferate: creating channels that trigger the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. This procedure activates cellular regeneration to help with common skin problems.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) allows for active ingredients to penetrate exactly where they can immediately get to work addressing scars, pigmentation, pore size, stretch marks with a bonus of improving skin texture and firmness: stimulating the body to produce new collagen and elastin, the skin’s connective tissue and the structural matrix responsible for smooth texture and skin rejuvenation.

Minimum of (3) treatments are required to achieve the optimum rejuvenation of an area. When treating scarring a minimum of (6) treatments would be required. The treatments are performed 5 – 6 weeks apart.
When will I see results?
The first week after the treatment you may experience peeling which helps to address pigmentation or scarring and the skin looks more hydrated. The results are gradual as damaged collagen is re-production takes time, most clients report a gradual improvement in their skin color and texture over 6 – 8 week period.
That improvement is compounded as each consecutive treatment is performed. It is really important to follow the practitioner post care instruction and commit and rebook your treatments to see the best results. Maximum results are highly dependent on cumulative sun exposure, health, lifestyle and your willingness to follow recommended protocols.
When is Collagen Induction Therapy not suitable?
The treatment should not be performed within (2) weeks of having an injectable dermal filler or Botox.
The treatment is never performed on raised moles, warts or lesions.

The Collagen Induction Therapy Procedure
The skin is prepared by exfoliation using the Microdermabrasion DT resurfacing procedure (based on area and skin condition), numbing cream is applied to the treated area for twenty – thirty minutes. This minimizes the discomfort and most clients grade discomfort as 2 – 3 out of 10 at the most. Panadol only may be taken prior to treatment.
The treatment takes approximately 60 minutes. In total allow 90 minutes for your appointment. Arrive with no makeup on.
What are the side effects?
Side effects are minimal, including mild swelling, mild bruising and peeling.
Will I miss work or need to stay indoors?
Recovery is minimal with the Collagen Induction Therapy procedure: the inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly. Your skin may look slightly flushed after treatment but this dissipates after 12 – 24 hours. Clients can return to work immediately. It is recommended to sustain from working out, gym activity 24 – 48 hours after the procedure as your sweat glands produces sodium which can cause irritation.

Facial Rejuvenation – Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) can significantly improve a number of skin conditions on the face by producing natural collagen and elastin including fine lines, wrinkles, Crow’s feet, and sagging or thinning skin. A series of treatments can help tighten and thicken skin, reducing natural, visible signs of aging.
Similar to facial rejuvenation, Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) can improve skin appearance on your hands by triggering elastin and collagen growth, reducing wrinkles, age and sun spots.
Along with the hands, the neck is one of the first places to show signs of aging. Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) can tighten loose skin around the neck while also reducing the appearance of sun damaged skin on the neck.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) has been proven to improve or even diminish most types of scarring including acne and surgical scarring. The CIT has the ability to break up old scar tissues stimulating the production of new collagen leading to new, healthy skin.
Stretch marks are generally harder to treat than scarring but their appearance can be minimized with a series of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) treatments. The Collagen Induction Therapy breaks down stretch mark tissue and the renewed collagen can help to reduce and fade stretch marks over time.
Acne, wounds and overexposure to the sun can lead to hyperpigmentation in the skin. Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) can help shed the top layer of skin leaving behind a more even complexion (photo-aging (sun spots) and dark spots).
Diminish Age Spots:
Similar to how the Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) would treat hyperpigmentation, by helping to shed the top layer of skin age spots fade away as the cell turnover creates a new top layer of healthy skin.
Rosacea is caused by hypersensitivity of the blood vessels in your face and long-term rosacea can minimize collagen in the skin. There are numerous contributing factors to this skin condition making it often hard to dissipate. By producing a significant amount of collagen with Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), hypersensitivity of the blood vessels is decreased therefore soothing redness.
Enlarged pores around the nose and cheeks are often reduced as a result of the improved texture that surfaces with the increase in collagen post treatment.
Decrease Hair Loss:
Decrease certain types of hair loss by stimulating hair follicles and allowing for the improved absorption of topical products to improve hair growth.
